SENATOR HARRADINE
Last week Senator Harradine, despite enormous pressure from the Howard coalition, stood by his guns and refused the GST. His crime? He asked John Howard to give details of how John intended to keep his promise that no person would be disadvantaged by the new tax.
Oops.
Now it is up to the Democrats. Let us hope
that
they will ask the same question. Let us hope that they will not
be
bought off with the promise of billions for one of their imagined
constituencies.
KOSOVO
NATO again bombed Kosovans last week. Seems like NATO wants to kill more Kosovans than they say the Serbians are killing.
What I can't understand is the reason that NATO gives for not halting the bombing. NATO says that if it stops bombing, the Serbs will slaughter Kosovar Albanians.
Huh????
The only Kosovans that the Serbs want to slaughter are the KLA. But NATO has stated that they are not acting as an air force for the KLA. Several times. So which Kosovans is NATO protecting?
What gives????
Just more NATO lies for Bill & Blair. Just like the Axis lies told by Adolf & Benito sixty years earlier. Why was it Adolf went in to Czechoslovakia? My history book advises that Adolf said he went to protect the ethnic German minority from atrocities (i.e. genocide). hmph.
