Use colour to express your individuality, Paint your face, tattoo your butt or henna your feet. The art of Body painting has long been recognised as a form of self-expression that ignores conventionality. If this is too shocking for the conservative mind to consider, simply take yourself off to the Australian museum and view the Body Art exhibition, which is being held until the middle of June. This exhibition explores how the tradition of decorating the body begun with ancient cultures and has been transformed into a modern day pursuit. Many people claim that Body Art, (which includes piercings, tattoos, body painting cosmetic surgery as well as the simple everyday ritual of putting on make-up) gives the individual a sense of their own identity, sexuality and spirituality. Start exploring, you never know what you will discover!
