- TWEEDLEDUM & TWEEDLEDEE.
Lewis Carrol may well have been writing about the insincerity between the parties in the two party political system.
Tweedledum and Tweedledee
Agreed to have a battle!
For Tweedledum said Tweedledee
Had spoiled his nice new rattle.
The battle between Tweedledee & Tweedledum ends quite quickly, and for quite the most trivial of reasons.
The Coalition and the Labour party are not fighting and never were fighting about the introduction of the GST. They both think GST is a wonderful way to rip money out of we the people. Labour does not intend to remove the tax, Kim is playing with words when he says Labour will "rollback" the GST. "Rollback" means fine tuning, not repeal.
While Tweedledum and Tweedledee control the hill, we the people will never control the agenda.
Tweedledee & Tweedledum soon metamorphise into the walrus and the carpenter to show the modus operandi.
"O Oysters, come and walk with us!"
The Walrus did beseech.
"A pleasant walk, a pleasant talk,
Along the briny beach:
We cannot do with more than four,
To give a hand to each."
"A loaf of bread," the Walrus said,
"Is what we chiefly need:
Pepper and vinegar besides
Are very good indeed--
Now, if you're ready, Oysters dear,
We can begin to feed."
